Travel and Accommodations Information
Applied Scholastics International is located in Spanish Lake, Missouri, less than ten minutes from St. Louis and twenty minutes from Lambert International Airport (STL).
For three-day Institutes (Thursday–Saturday), please arrange travel so you arrive on Wednesday night and depart after 6 p.m. on Saturday so you do not miss any of the Institute.

This is your guide on how to prepare for your stay at the Spanish Lake campus of Applied Scholastics International.
Whether you are staying for a day or a month, we aim to make your stay as enjoyable and distraction-free as possible.

Transport to and from the Airport
We will pick you up at the St. Louis Lambert International Airport. Please let us know your flight information and arrival time once you have booked your flight.

A receptionist is on duty from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and will take messages and ensure guests receive them. Outside those times, an option on the phone menu directs the caller to leave a message for a guest. The Accommodations Manager receives all messages and ensures they are delivered promptly.
Accommodations
We offer several accommodations options for your stay on campus. Our housekeeping staff cleans rooms and changes bed linen and towels once a week. We will provide fresh towels more often upon request. Each bathroom has hand soap, but we do not provide shampoo or other personal care items. You will need to bring any other personal grooming items that you want to use.
Other Facilities Available on Campus
Fully equipped laundry and ironing rooms are conveniently located on each floor of the residence halls for your use. For dry cleaning, our Accommodations Manager will arrange for it to be picked up and dropped off at the campus at standard dry cleaning rates.
Each floor has a business center with an Internet-access computer, printer capability and phone.
Cell phone reception is generally good on campus.
Each floor has a lounge with DVD players, a refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven.
Meal Times
The dining room is open for breakfast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Lunch is available from noon to 1 p.m. and dinner is from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
If you have special dietary needs, please let us know before you arrive and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
The campus store provides snacks, toiletries and other items you may need.
Weather
There are four distinct seasons in the St. Louis area. In the late fall and winter months, you will need to bring warm clothing including a heavy coat, gloves and hat.
The spring and summer months require lighter clothing.
Local Attractions
While on campus you will be busy with classes and interaction with other educators, but upon request, our Accommodations Manager will assist you with information about nearby movie theaters and other St. Louis attractions.
